BFA THESIS: Summary Animation

Completed April 2012

CHALLENGE

Summarize my research and demonstrate the subsequent mobile application's functionality and UI.

BACKGROUND

TRAKS, a proposed mobile app, was the final product of my senior year Graphic Design BFA Thesis in which I addressed two issues: 1) 74% of kids do not get the recommended 60 minutes of exercise and 2) the average 11-14 year old spends an average of 8 hours a day using digital entertainment. The entire project, along with the other 2012 BFA/MFA theses, was on display at the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame in the spring of 2012.

SOLUTION

An AfterEffects animation running on loop in tangent with the display.

AWARD

Emil Jacques Silver Medal of Fine Arts, Notre Dame's Department of Art, Art History, & Design
